Shift Technology is seeking an experienced Mid-Level QA Engineer on a 4-month contract to ensure quality and reliability of our web applications and APIs. You will design robust test strategies and execute end-to-end testing in close collaboration with cross-functional Agile teams.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant field, 3–4 years of QA experience, strong API and UI testing skills, and ISTQB Foundation Certification.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Mid-Level QA Engineer for a 4-month contract (CDD) to play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and seamless release of complex web applications. Working closely with cross-functional Agile teams, you will help design and execute solid test strategies, perform end-to-end testing, and ensure our upcoming product go-lives are smooth and risk-free.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Planning: Analyze client and business requirements to build pragmatic, effective test strategies tailored to complex web products.
• Testing Execution: Design and execute UI, backend, and API tests across multi-layered web applications.
• Agile Integration: Active participation in Agile ceremonies (sprints, grooming, retrospectives) within the development team to advocate for quality from day one.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with developers, Data Scientist, product managers, and business stakeholders to identify risks, resolve issues, and align on release readiness.

Key Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience: 3 to 4 years of hands-on Quality Assurance experience.
• Core Technical Skills: Proven track record testing complex UI web applications and backend system architectures; Strong expertise in API testing.
• Programming or scripting experience (Web UI, API, Data Pipelines).
• Certifications: ISTQB Foundation Certification (Required).
• Soft Skills: Team-first mindset, excellent communication skills, and proven success working alongside cross-functional teams in high-stakes project environments.
