A leading manufacturing company in France is seeking a Purchasing and Quality Manager to oversee purchasing categories and ensure product quality across production and logistics. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing supplier relations, knowledge of quality standards, and skills in program management. This role offers the opportunity to shape purchasing strategies and uphold compliance with internal and external quality protocols.
We are seeking a Purchasing and Quality Manager whose main mission will be to manage purchasing categories and/or projects under their responsibility, and to supply products or components according to needs. This role will also ensure the animation and performance of Product/Process Quality for Production (Assembly, Testing), Logistics (Reception, Supply). The Purchasing and Quality Manager will ensure compliance with company procedures and legal or normative obligations, and will supervise the development of their team's skills.
Deploy and adhere to the company's purchasing policy.
Possess in-depth knowledge of certain markets and general knowledge of other purchasing categories for which they are responsible.
Manage supplier relationships with the objective of improving overall performance (cost, quality, lead time, service, CSR).
Deploy strategies for the purchasing categories under their responsibility in consultation with specifiers.
Select suppliers for products, services, or investments for identified needs within their scope.
Implement purchasing contracts and ensure their proper application.
Ensure communication at the required level with suppliers and stakeholders, consistent with the company's values.
Participate in budget construction and implement monthly monitoring of KPIs.
Contribute to the development of the organization's activity and tools.
Ensure compliance with the purchasing contract.
Analyze and validate the calculation of needs by supplier and component, and ensure the interface between suppliers and production.
Define and update management parameters related to suppliers/items in their portfolio to ensure reliability and optimize flows and stock levels in compliance with set objectives, and keep performance monitoring indicators for suppliers (delivery reliability) up to date.
Monitor their portfolio until receipt of parts and ensure zero stock-outs and optimized stock levels.
Confirm programs and delivery calls, determine appropriate degraded modes, and ensure their application.
Participate in the resolution of invoice, logistics, and quality disputes for supplier deliveries.
Optimize product flows, storage, and transport.
Manage internal quality (Product/Process) and ensure the application of quality standards within its scope (Production/logistics/methods/maintenance).
Guarantee the construction of surveillance plans and ensure their compliance.
Develop control ranges for all sectors in collaboration with production and logistics.
Support and assist production and logistics teams in identifying and processing anomalies.
Participate in defining corrective action plans and ensure their effectiveness.
Conduct internal workstation audits (operating procedures, skills, compliance with standards, etc.).
Participate in the preparation of internal and external ISO audits.
Provide internal quality training: new arrivals / Quality Representative / Final Control if applicable.
Establish, monitor, and analyze internal quality indicators. Propose the implementation of necessary actions if deviations occur. In this regard, analyze and execute the PAD action plan in collaboration with their hierarchy and production teams.
Arbitrate production derogation requests.
Block production when necessary.
