Description du poste

About EURELITE

EURELITE is developing next-generation Generation IV Advanced Modular Reactor (AMR) technologies to support a cleaner, safer, and more resilient global energy future.

Our mission is to advance nuclear innovation through cutting-edge reactor technologies, combining advanced engineering, safety excellence, and digital capabilities to deliver the next generation of clean energy systems.

We are seeking a PSA Engineer (Probabilistic Safety Assessment) to join our Safety & Licensing Department and play a key role in establishing the safety case, risk-informed design framework, and regulatory readiness of our advanced reactor technology.

Location & Working Arrangement

EURELITE is currently building its global engineering presence. The company’s Paris office is expected to open in 2027. Until then, international candidates joining for on-site positions will initially work as part of our Beijing-based China engineering teamduring the first year.

Position Overview

As a PSA Engineer, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA) and Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) activities for advanced nuclear reactor systems.

You will develop risk models, evaluate plant response under complex failure scenarios, analyze severe accident progression, and provide quantitative safety insights that directly influence reactor design optimization and licensing strategies.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the safety foundation of a next-generation Advanced Modular Reactor (AMR) and support its successful review by international nuclear regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities

1. PSA/PRA Model Development & Risk Analysis

  • Develop and maintain PSA/PRA models for advanced reactor systems.

  • Perform accident sequence analysis, including:

    • Event tree analysis

    • Fault tree analysis

    • System reliability assessment

  • Evaluate key safety risk metrics, including:

    • Core Damage Frequency (CDF)

    • Large Early Release Frequency (LERF)

  • Conduct reliability, sensitivity, and uncertainty analyses.

2. Risk-Informed Reactor Design Support

  • Apply probabilistic risk insights to support reactor design optimization.

  • Evaluate safety impacts of system architecture changes and design modifications.

  • Identify potential risk contributors and recommend mitigation strategies.

  • Support integration between PSA results and engineering design decisions.

3. Nuclear Safety Analysis & Licensing Support

  • Prepare PSA-related technical documentation and safety analysis reports.

  • Support regulatory review processes and licensing submissions.

  • Respond to technical questions from regulatory authorities and independent safety reviewers.

  • Ensure compliance with international nuclear safety requirements and risk assessment practices.

4. Severe Accident & Safety System Analysis

  • Support severe accident analysis and risk evaluation activities.

  • Analyze:

    • Emergency cooling systems

    • Passive safety systems

    • Severe accident progression

  • Support integration of PSA results with:

    • Severe Accident Management Guidelines (SAMG)

    • Source term evaluations
