Job summary

The UN Atlas is seeking an Associate Project Officer for the Education Section focused on gender equality in education. You will support monitoring, reporting, and capacity-building activities, and contribute to cross-country data initiatives.

With up to two years of relevant experience, you will collaborate with global partners and support fundraising and program implementation within the Education Sector's inclusion and gender equality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Up to two years of relevant professional experience in gender equality and education.
• Proficiency in data analysis related to gender equality in education.
• Strong analytical, coordination, research and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support gender-related follow-up to the Transforming Education Summit by analyzing country progress and good practices.
• Coordinate an expert group on gender and education for cross-national data.
• Support cross-sectional curriculum work and indicator development.
• Facilitate UNESCO community of practice on Gender Equality and education and manage knowledge hub.
• Implement capacity building for UNESCO colleagues.
• Provide inputs on gender equality in education, particularly Education in Emergencies.
• Assist with monitoring, reporting, and fundraising efforts for the Section.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
