Safran Systèmes d’Atterrissage in Massy is seeking a seasoned project leader to drive a major aeronautical computer development for civil aircraft engine control systems. Within the Engine and Data Computer Engineering Center, you will be responsible for managing a major project for the development of new-generation aeronautical computers for the civil aircraft engine control system.

You will lead a project team of approximately 30 people with various specialities: systems, electronics, software, mechanics, cybersecurity, Safety, industrialization, maintenance, test means, and environmental testing. You will benefit from the support of a network of technical and business experts available to assist during key moments of your project and tackle the most advanced challenges.

You will also be directly responsible for the project budget, managing business volumes regularly exceeding 20 million euros, and your mission will be to ensure the achievement of quality, schedule, and cost objectives-while anticipating the technical and organizational changes necessary for collective success.

Your role offers high visibility: you will work on strategic subjects, liaise directly with the Program Directorate and international clients, and serve as the privileged interlocutor for partners throughout the duration of the project.

Upon taking up your position, you will benefit from an integration scheme and support from the project community: mentoring, access to dedicated project management training, and the appropriation of Safran processes. You will be supported to ensure a smooth and progressive skills ramp-up.

Higher education background (engineer or equivalent), you have at least 5 years of experience in project management as well as knowledge in electronics (digital and analog) / software / embedded products.

You have already met technical challenges in demanding environments (aeronautics, automotive, rail, or space), and master both technical aspects and development, industrialization, and cost constraints, ideally of a critical embedded computer.
