About the role

As a Project Engineering Manager (PEM) in the AP Technology Deployment, you will support new plant opportunities, specifically the permitting process in Bulgaria. As PEM you will engage on specific technical, and project related nuclear power plant design topics to support Westinghouse International new build market development and capture.

You will report to the Director, Project Engineering and be located in Marseille, France.

The AP Technology Deployment organization focuses on
  • the integration of Global Engineering Services input to support new build offers
  • the management of Global Engineering Services scope for programs aiming at improving the international marketability and the delivery of AP1000 projects worldwide
  • lead and integration of Global Engineering Services scope to support new build market development, early works and FEED contracts (up to the establishment of a project-specific organization)
  • the development of international Project Engineering resources to support future new build projects (up to the establishment of a project-specific organization)
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with GES functional directors and cross functional teams to implement standard work processes, procedures and automation tools on future AP1000 New Plant Opportunities consistent with the strategic direction established by the respective Project Team members.
  • Provide direction to assigned lead(s) and team members for scope execution. Responsible for development, maintenance and distribution of engineering budgets and schedules for respective parts of new project execution.
  • Monitor staffing needs on assigned projects and communicate to create clear and timely demand signals.
  • Facilitate cross-discipline coordination for both technical and schedule related issues.
  • Interface with potential customers, partners and regulators to support Westinghouse stakeholder engagement and project plans.
  • Support various aspects of future bid and proposal efforts in different European countries.
Qualifications
  • Experience leading and directing medium or high complexity projects to successful completion
  • Llead and direct complex team structures, develop relationships with stakeholders in upper management positions, able to analyze problems, establish facts and make complex decisions with little to no supervision.
  • Familiar with the AP1000 project, processes and procedures
  • Familiar with permitting processes, especially in Bulgaria
  • Engineering degree
  • Ability to establish effective networks across several functional areas and can drive and motivate a team to reach a common goal.
