Job summary

ICP Group is seeking a Processor – Gas House for our Lynchburg, VA plant. This role involves filling gas canisters, operating production equipment, and monitoring weights to ensure accurate product filling.

The position requires adherence to strict safety standards, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and the ability to stand for long periods while lifting up to 50 lbs. Training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Warehouse or manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Must follow written and verbal instructions.
• Self-motivated, organized and detail oriented.
• Must be able to work in a non-temperature regulated environment.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strict adherence to plant safety requirements including PPE.
• Follow SOPs, policies, and safety regulations.
• Perform start up and shut down of equipment.
• Operate equipment and monitor product quality.
• Review work order information; enter formula numbers per work order.
• Move empty canisters from conveyor to scale, attach hoses, and initiate filling.
• Monitor canister weight for accurate filling.
• Return filled canisters to conveyor.
• Grease, adjust, or clean parts of the production line; use hand tools.
• Train others when needed; assist with cycle counts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.

ICP is seeking a Processor – Gas House. The primary responsibility of the Processor – Gas House in the Carroll location is to fill canisters with product. This position comes with an expectation of being able to work at a fast pace and be able to meet the daily schedule. This role is working at our Lynchburg, VA Carroll plant, 1st shift. The hours are Monday – Friday; 7:00am – 3:30pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain strict adherence to all plant safety requirements including wearing proper PPE
• Follow standard operating procedures, company policies, and safety regulations
• Perform start up and shut down of equipment
• Operate equipment and monitor quality
• Review work order information; key in formula number per work order
• Slide the empty canister from the conveyor to the scale, attach the hoses to the canister, and press the button to initiate the filling process
• Monitor canister weight to ensure accurate product filling
• Push filled canister back onto conveyor
• May need to fill canister manual if equipment has a glitch; turn PLC off, open valve(s) manually to fill canister to appropriate weight
• Grease, adjust, or clean specific parts of the production line to keep equipment in optimal condition; use various hand tools
• Maintains cleanliness of work area
• Train others when needed
• Help with cycle counts when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Skills Required

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Must be able to follow specific instructions (work instructions, procedures, etc.), both written and verbal
• Must be self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented
• Must be able to work in a non-temperature regulated environment
• Ability to work in chemical manufacturing environment, involving solvents and other hazardous materials
• Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs. and perform other necessary physical requirements in performance of regular job duties
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods
• Must have good attendance
