Job summary

Airbus Operations SAS in Toulouse is seeking a Process Leader & Work Package Leader for On-Board functions to drive development of avionics performance models and FMS integration. You will coordinate with programs, systems teams, and FMS suppliers to deliver validated models and datasets.

Ideal candidates bring aeronautics background, 3+ years in avionics or flight operations, and strong English/French skills. A hybrid work setup may be offered as Airbus supports flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

• Background in aeronautics or related engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in aeronautics, flight operations, or avionics.
• Knowledge of flight physics, aircraft systems, and cockpit environments.
• Experience in FMS design, surrogate modeling, or scripting/data science.
• Proficiency in English and French at an advanced level.

Responsibilities

• Steer development of avionics performance functions with programs, systems teams, and FMS suppliers.
• Design next-generation performance algorithms and functional models for the New FMS.
• Deliver qualified models, flight physics datasets, and verification packages for system integration and V&V testing.
• Analyze in-service flight operational data with operation teams to quantify performance and propose upgrades.
• Optimize engineering process frameworks and functional calculation toolsets across civil and military programs.

Job Description:Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Process Leader & WPL for On-Board functions (f/m) to join our On-Board Performance Applications department based in Toulouse, France.You will join the team responsible for embedding critical aircraft performance models and algorithms directly into cockpit avionics across all aircraft programs.
