SES S.A Brazil is seeking a Senior Satellite Systems Engineer to provide resident systems engineering support across satellite procurement programs. You will participate in design, test readiness, and failure reviews at the manufacturer sites, reviewing test data and guiding root-cause investigations to ensure compliance with platform requirements.

Responsibilities include risk assessment for spacecraft bus, overseeing tests, and coordinating with suppliers and field teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in space systems engineering or spacecraft bus engineering.
• Strong knowledge of spacecraft bus systems; power, avionics, GNC or data handling.
• Experience with a spacecraft bus supplier and in AIT environment.
• Knowledge of ECSS standards and ability to apply them in supplier oversight.

Responsabilités

• Review and trend test data for platform equipment at unit, subsystem and system levels.
• Provide technical support to the Field Office Program Manager on investigations and corrective actions.
• Ensure platform equipment units meet end-to-end requirements.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks for spacecraft bus development and testing.
• Review design, manufacturing and test documentation and ensure closure of program actions.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support during spacecraft testing and launch campaign activities.
