Job summary

AVENTA is seeking two Precommissioning Engineers (Lead and Senior) to join our Paris office on an offshore pipeline project and support other ongoing ventures. You will cover pre-commissioning activities from early studies and tendering through detailed engineering and offshore execution.

Behind a hands-on role, you will manage pipeline flooding, pigging, gauging, hydrotesting, and oversee buoyancy operations, QA reviews, and interface with the client.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with subsea/offshore pre-commissioning experience.
• Experience on EPCI projects across tender to offshore execution.
• Ability to work autonomously and interface with other engineering disciplines.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.
• BOSIET + CA-EBS (OPITO) and OGUK medical, or willingness to obtain them before mobilisation.
• Previous team leadership experience for the Lead position.

Responsibilities

• Manage or contribute to pipeline flooding, cleaning, gauging, pigging and hydrotesting activities.
• Oversee buoyancy ballasting/deballasting and monitoring/testing of umbilicals, cables and fibre optics.
• Review client technical specifications and take part in engineering and HAZID/risk reviews.
• Contribute to technical and commercial proposals during tender phases.
• Review conceptual studies of subsea infrastructure and structures.
• Write pre-commissioning procedures and subcontractor scopes of work, and follow subcontractors on a daily basis.
• Mobilise pre-commissioning equipment on vessels or at yards and provide technical support to offshore crews.
• Interface directly with the client during both engineering and execution phases.
• Close out logistics, technical and commercial activities with subcontractors and clients.
• For the Lead position: coordinate the pre-commissioning team and activities across the project.

What you bring

• Engineering degree with solid experience in subsea/offshore pre-commissioning in Oil & Gas
• Hands-on knowledge of pipeline pre-commissioning operations (flooding, pigging, gauging, hydrotesting, dewatering)
• Experience on EPCI projects across several phases, from tender to offshore execution
• Ability to work autonomously and interface with other engineering disciplines
• Fluent English, written and spoken; French is a plus
• Valid BOSIET + CA-EBS (OPITO) and OGUK medical, or willingness to obtain them before mobilisation
• Previous team leadership experience for the Lead position
