TDX Adak Generating (TAG) seeks a Power Plant Operator to lead daily operations at the Adak power facility. You will oversee maintenance, repairs, and material coordination to ensure efficient plant performance and budget adherence.

The role requires hands-on experience with electrical distribution, diesel-operated systems, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining safety and quality for customers.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent and technical school certificate or 18 months of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in remote monitoring or similar activity.
• Working knowledge of electrical distribution including transformers, power cables, meters, circuit breakers, pumps, etc.
• Working knowledge of diesel construction and operations including electrical controls, fuel, troubleshooting, and generators.
• Ability to read schematics and one-line diagrams.
• Ability to follow written/oral instructions and use diagnostic tools.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.

Responsabilidades

• Provide daily preventive maintenance and repair on plant systems.
• Perform troubleshooting analysis on generator sets.
• Monitor and safely operate per written guidelines.
• Procure parts and supplies needed for the project.
• Coordinate work with workers/consumers and prioritize tasks.
• Manage emergencies and special support work such as outages.
• Provide recommendations to Engineering/Design for modifications.
• Operate a Maintenance Management System and upload daily/monthly data.
