CNRS's Laboratoire de physique et chimie de l’environnement et de l’Espace (LPC2E) in Orléans invites applications for a First Stage Researcher (R1) in astronomy. The postdoc focuses on developing signal processing algorithms and time-series modeling for long-period transients and pulsars, with opportunities to travel for collaborations and conferences.

The successful candidate will work within the ASTRO team at LPC2E, closely affiliated with the Nançay Radio Observatory and NenuFAR, leveraging

Qualifications

• PhD in Astronomy or closely related field is required.
• Programming and signal processing experience is required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary framework.
• Full-time commitment to a 3-year postdoctoral project.

Responsabilités

• Lead the development of signal processing algorithms for radio astronomy data.
• Perform time-series data processing and modeling for transient sources.
• Deploy workflows on GPU/CPU clusters for production use.
• Lead follow-up studies using Nançay and NenuFAR telescopes.
• Present research results at international conferences.
