CNRS – Institut de Recherche de Chimie Paris is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to develop molecular materials based on rare-earth ions for quantum technologies. The role focuses on synthesizing, purifying, and crystallizing rare-earth complexes and performing structural and physicochemical characterization.

The candidate will collaborate with researchers doing low-temperature spectroscopy and spin-dynamics measurements, analyze data, and contribute to reports, publications, and conferences.

Qualifications

• Strong experimental experience in synthesis and handling of molecular compounds.
• Experience with lanthanide complexes, single-crystal growth or molecular materials is valuable.
• Ability to document procedures rigorously and work autonomously.
• Ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment with chemists and physicists.
• Excellent command of English for scientific communication.

Responsabilités

• Synthesize, purify, and crystallize rare-earth molecular complexes.
• Optimize synthesis, purification, recrystallization, and crystal growth protocols.
• Characterize materials using X-ray diffraction and spectroscopic techniques.
• Analyze structural and spectroscopic data to relate composition and properties.
• Collaborate with researchers performing low-temperature optical spectroscopy and spin-dynamics measurements.
• Prepare reports and contribute to scientific publications; present results at meetings.
