CNRS — Institut Lumière Matière in Lyon, France, invites applications for a First Stage Researcher (R1) to develop model experiments identifying failure criteria in polymeric materials. The project combines materials science, mechanics, and data analysis with Matlab scripts.

The successful candidate will join the Liquids and Interfaces team, contributing to experimental design, data interpretation, and publication-ready writing for international journals.

Qualifications

• PhD in Materials Science, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Solid experience in coding, mechanical testing, microscopy, and polymer processing.

Responsabilités

• Develop and realize model experiments to identify failure criteria in polymeric materials.
• Develop silicone-based model materials and an experimental setup with mechanical testing and microscropy.
