A 6-month postdoctoral contract is available within the AstroENS team at the Astrophysical Research Center of Lyon (CRAL), based at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon. The research will focus on star formation through numerical simulations.

The project will include aspects such as numerical simulations of (non-)ideal magnetohydrodynamics and protostellar collapse, in collaboration with Benoît Commerçon and the ANR PROMETHEE project teams across IPAG, CRAL, and the Paris Observatory.

Qualifications

• PhD in astrophysics, physics, or applied mathematics with a focus on hydrodynamics.
• Experience in stellar or planetary formation, non-ideal magnetohydrodynamics, or numerical simulations.

Responsabilités

• Numerical simulations of (non-)ideal magnetohydrodynamics.
• Numerical simulations of protostellar collapse and the formation and evolution of protostellar disks.
