Job summary

Aix Marseille Université invites applications for a 18-month postdoctoral position in the SPARTA project at IMBE, Marseille. You will study single-cell radiobiology in THP-1 macrophages, using imaging flow cytometry to quantify genotoxicity and particle uptake, and collaborate on Monte Carlo simulations with the University of Pavia.

Strong French and English skills are required. The role includes developing high-throughput imaging workflows, data analysis, and dissemination through publications

Qualifications

• PhD in Biological Sciences is required.
• Strong experience in experimental biology, ideally genetic toxicology and flow cytometry.
• Experience in mammalian cell culture and optical/epifluorescence microscopy.
• Excellent command of French and very good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-throughput imaging flow cytometry methods to characterize particle internalisation and genotoxicity.
• Quantify particle burden, ROS, γH2AX, micronuclei and other descriptors in THP-1 cells.
• Collaborate with University of Pavia for simulations and build a single-cell database.
• Prepare study reports, scientific communications and peer-reviewed publications.
