The Laboratoire d’Annecy de Physique Théorique (LAPTh, CNRS/Univ. Savoie Mont Blanc) invites applications for a three-year postdoctoral position in theoretical physics, with research in quantum gravity, cosmology and AI for science.

The successful candidate will join the Mathematical Physics group and work on the interface between fundamental theory and cosmology, pursuing topics like dark energy, string theory, and machine learning to study equations of motion in compactifications.

Qualifications

• PhD in theoretical physics or closely related field by the start date.
• Strong background in theoretical physics and research in related directions.
• Experience with AI/ML is welcome but not required.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to an independent research program within the project.
• Collaborate with LAPTh group on quantum gravity and cosmology topics.
• Develop machine learning approaches to solve equations of motion in compactifications.
