CNRS in France seeks a postdoctoral researcher to contribute to advanced fiber-optic sensing using REFIMEVE laser stations. The role focuses on developing experimental methods, implementing phase control and digital modulation, and collaborating across photonics, electronics and FPGA teams.

The candidate will work on distributed sensing applications, engage with European partners, and participate in dissemination of results through conferences and journals.

Qualifications

• PhD in photonics, optics, telecommunications, signal processing or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of photonics and optical communication systems.
• Experimental experience with lasers and modulators.
• Knowledge of coherent modulation and demodulation techniques.

Responsabilités

• Develop new sensing functionalities using REFIMEVE laser stations.
• Design optical-fiber-based measurement experiments and servo loops.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across photonics, electronics and FPGA.
• Publish results in peer-reviewed journals and contribute to project reports.
• Supervise internships and contribute to PhD supervision.
