Job summary
The Laboratoire d'Optique Atmosphérique (LOA) at the University of Lille, CNRS, invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher to study spectral optical properties of atmospheric microplastics. The project uses laboratory measurements and simulations, with emphasis on complex refractive indices of polymers, leveraging SOLEIL data and hyperspectral observations.
The successful candidate will work at LOA, collaborating with partners across CESAM, iLM, and PC2A.
Qualifications
- PhD in physics, optics, atmospheric sciences or related field.
- Experience with spectroscopy and optical properties of materials or particles.
- Experience in analysis and processing of experimental data.
Responsibilities
- Analyze experimental data to characterize spectral optical properties of atmospheric microplastics.
- Develop and apply light-scattering and radiative transfer models; collaborate with SOLEIL and LOA teams.
