APTIM is seeking a Port Services Project Engineer to support structural and mechanical design for cranes, piers, and port facilities. You will perform inspections, analysis, and design work, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team across Gulf and Atlantic coasts.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in structural/mechanical engineering, PE licensing or eligibility within 12 months, and strong communication skills for client interaction and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering required.
• P.E. license preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• 10+ years of progressive structural or mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with cranes, waterfront structures, or other heavy industrial/marine infrastructure preferred.

Responsabilités

• Inspect cranes, waterfront structures, and port facilities to assess condition and develop repair recommendations.
• Develop drawings and calculations for steel and concrete structures and crane components.
• Perform structural analysis and design using RISA, Mathcad, and AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure scope, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Travel 10–25% for field assignments and inspections.
• Mentor junior engineers and inspection staff as the office grows.
