WeWard is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to help scale an infrastructure serving millions of daily users. You will own IaC foundations with Pulumi (Python) and scale the AWS stack (ECS Fargate, RDS, ElastiCache) while improving CI/CD and observability.

You’ll work closely with backend and data teams to embed reliability from design to deployment. You’ll report to the Lead SRE and join a global, mission-driven team with a hybrid work model in Paris and offices globally.3+ years in SRE/DevOps

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps or Platform Engineering, preferably in startup or scale-up.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (ECS, RDS, IAM, networking) and confidence navigating it without hand-holding.
• Proficient with infrastructure as code: Terraform, Pulumi or CDK, with opinions on structuring it well.
• Clear communication with engineers and ability to translate infra constraints for product teams.
• Ownership mindset: you don’t just open tickets, you close problems end-to-end.

Responsabilités

• Own infrastructure-as-code foundations using Pulumi (Python) and design reusable components.
• Scale AWS platform reliably (ECS Fargate, RDS, ElastiCache) as user base grows.
• Improve CI/CD and deployment pipelines for faster release cycles.
• Drive observability (Datadog, CloudWatch, SLOs) enabling teams to own reliability.
• Strengthen security posture: WAF, least privilege, secrets management.
• Contribute to data infrastructure (Kafka, Flink, Glue/Iceberg) and pipeline reliability.
• Collaborate with backend and data engineers to embed reliability in design.
