Five9 is seeking a Platform Engineering & Infrastructure Manager based in Porto, Portugal, to lead the operations, reliability, and modernization of its private cloud and platform engineering environment. You will supervise a Portugal-based team spanning compute, storage, virtualization, and Kubernetes, while collaborating with global infrastructure groups.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure operations, DevOps, or similar.
• Experience leading technical teams in platform engineering or infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on with Linux systems, private cloud (OpenStack) and virtualization.
• Strong IaC, automation, and CI/CD practices using Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab, Git.
• Hands-on Kubernetes in production with Rancher/OpenShift or native Kubernetes.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day operations for the Portugal-based Platform Engineering & Infrastructure team.
• Coordinate across compute, storage, virtualization, Kubernetes, and private cloud services.
• Manage incident response, change control, on-call readiness, and post-incident reviews.
• Drive modernization with IaC, automation, and CI/CD tooling; observability adoption.
• Own core platform services including compute, storage, Kubernetes, security, and identities.
• Mentor engineers, onboard new hires, and build local engineering capability.
