Description du poste

Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

Our Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration & Test (MAIT) team is building the industrial means to manufacture and qualify critical flight hardware.

We are looking for a Planning Engineer to strengthen our industrial operations. The role combines production planning, external supply chain follow‑up, and support to internal work orders, using Odoo as the main ERP/MRP tool.

Main responsibilities
  • External supply chain management: follow suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery, monitor production progress, perform reminders and escalations when needed.
  • Procurement support: request quotations, contribute to supplier workload evaluation, and work closely with the procurement team for purchase orders.
  • Production planning: prepare work orders, define servitudes (tooling, fixtures, resources), and in some cases create simple manufacturing routings (gammes).
  • Scheduling and monitoring: manage planning updates and priorities within Odoo ERP, ensuring alignment with project milestones.
  • Cross‑team collaboration: interact daily with manufacturing, quality, procurement, and program teams to consolidate planning and ensure resource availability.
  • Reporting: provide visibility on supplier status, internal workload, and risks impacting delivery to Program Management.
Profile
  • Engineering degree (industrial, mechanical, supply chain, aerospace, or equivalent).
  • 3–5 years of experience in planning, production scheduling, or supply chain management in aerospace or other high‑reliability industries.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (experience with Odoo is a strong plus).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing routings, work orders, and supplier management.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, able to interact with both shop floor and external suppliers.
  • Ability to manage priorities, anticipate risks, and propose corrective actions.
  • Professional English (spoken and written).
What we offer
  • Direct contribution to the planning and supply chain management of spacecraft hardware.
  • Daily collaboration with manufacturing, procurement, and program teams in an international environment.
  • Start‑up industrial setting with exposure to both operational and strategic tasks.
  • Position based in Bordeaux (France), with occasional supplier visits.

If you want to play a central role in production planning and supplier management for a reusable spacecraft, and ensure parts are delivered on time and in full, join us!
