Qualifications

Position: Physics Competition Problem Writer

Type: Contract

Compensation: $60–$90/hour

Location: Remote

Duration: Short-term, with possibility of extension

Role Responsibilities

• Write original, advanced IPhO-style problems in mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, relativity, and quantum theory.
• Identify gaps in reasoning, misuse of physical laws, or dimensional inconsistencies.
• Provide clear, step-by-step analytical solutions using correct LaTeX notation.
• Maintain high standards of scientific clarity and Olympiad-level difficulty.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.

Qualifications

• IPhO, APhO, or national Olympiad medalist or participant
• Problem setter, coach, or selection-committee member
• Deep understanding of core physics domains (mechanics, E\&M, thermo, modern physics)
• Proficiency in LaTeX and analytical presentation
• Ability to explain derivations clearly and succinctly
