Job summary

GE Vernova in Champigneulle, France, is seeking an engineer to contribute to the design and development of products, solutions, and systems. You will focus on electrical components and power electronics, with an emphasis on improving existing products and achieving system integration.

Qualifications

For roles outside of the USA, basic experience in Engineering/Technology & Electrical Components is required.
Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
For roles in USA, Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma with at least 6 years of related experience) is required.

Responsibilities

Defining the physical configuration optimized to convert mechanical inputs into an electrical system powered to produce electricity.
Addressing configuration of electrical apparatus and systems, including generators, power electronics, switchgear, transformers, bus bars and cables.
Support broader policy/strategy within the technical field and collaborate with senior team members as needed.
Work within defined procedures, resolving issues with good technical judgment and contributing to system integration concepts.
Lead or mentor junior team members as required and maintain strong customer relationships when applicable.
