Job summary

GE Vernova France invites an engineer to contribute to the design and development of products, solutions and systems, including improvements to existing products and components. The role impacts the quality of work within the team and offers opportunities to lead and collaborate with other teams.

Candidates should demonstrate basic experience in Engineering/Technology and Electrical Components, with a Bachelor’s level background.

Qualifications

Strong oral and written communication abilities.
Basic experience in Engineering/Technology and Electrical Components.
Degree-equivalent experience for non-USA postings (Bachelor's level).

Responsibilities

Define physical configurations optimized to convert mechanical inputs into electrical energy.
Address electrical apparatus and systems, including generators, power electronics, switchgear, transformers, bus bars and cables.
Broaden knowledge of technical discipline to implement policy/strategy.
Provide support in specialized technical areas while developing higher level knowledge.
Understand business drivers and apply them to own work.
Coordinate with other teams to ensure integrated work and area contribution.
Exercise autonomy within defined framework and make decisions when appropriate.
Resolve issues with technical knowledge and judgement within procedures.
Consult more senior team members for non-standard issues.
Possibly lead a junior team and build customer relationships as interface with GE.
