Role Description
As a student with Pruna AI, you will be instrumental in integrating, optimizing and developing cutting‑edge machine learning compression methods. We are looking for talented students who are passionate about AI and sustainability. These positions would be for a period of at least 6 months. Your responsibilities will include:
Compression research and integration
- Understand and implement compression methods from open‑source projects and research papers
- Integrate these methods into our compression tool, ensuring they are user‑friendly and effective
- Adapt and extend successful methods to support various architectures and use‑cases
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure the reliability and robustness of the compression tool
People you will work with
- ML Research Engineers: Collaborate on refining, implementing, and combining compression methods
- MLOps Engineers: Scale your work, manage experimentation setups, pipelines, and testing environments
Collaboration formats

Skills and qualifications
Educational background or experience
- A completed B.Sc. in computer science or related fields
- Completed coursework on machine learning and/or deep learning – Please make sure to include your university transcripts in your application!
Machine Learning expertise
- Foundational knowledge in machine learning algorithms
- Experience with the PyTorch deep learning framework
- Experience with the Python programming language
- Ability to read, understand, reimplement and critique research publications

It is a plus if you have
- Experience with or coursework about compression methods like quantization, pruning, and compilation
