Syvra is seeking a talented Machine Learning Engineer Intern to join our project. You will collaborate closely with our team to develop and integrate AI-driven features into our applications. Your focus will be on designing and implementing ML models that enhance functionality and user experience.

You will optimize algorithms and data pipelines to ensure efficient and scalable solutions while contributing to the early foundations of the application within the established tech stack.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a master's degree in computer science or related field with strong ML foundations.
• Proven in multiple programming languages and self-made ML projects.
• Expertise in Machine Learning and algorithmics; familiarity with PyTorch/TensorFlow is preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a master's degree in computer science or a related field. ---> OR in a nonrelated master's degree (with courses or a minor) with a great self-made background in computer science. - Proficient in multiple programming languages, proven by self-made projects, contributions to small open-source repositories or advanced courses. - Expertise in Machine Learning and algorithmics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a master's degree from a recognized university and/or from Montreal. - Previous internship(s) in software development and machine learning, AI or closely related, all within university level. - Minimal research experience related to computer science and Machine Learning, through an assistantship, project based or thesis-based cursus and peer-reviewed publications. - Proven track-record of a contribution in Machine Learning (whatever if it is for charity, open-source, unpaid or paid tasks and whenever the timeframe of the experience). - Proficiency in: ---> Python ---> Applied Machine Learning (PyTorch/Tensorflow, Sklearn, Notebooks, Numpy, Pandas, etc.) ---> System Design ---> REST APIs ---> Basics in Web development (React, Python, Next.js, TypeScript, MySQL, Cordova (and/or any mobile converting framework), TailwindCSS, HTML5/CSS3). - Excellent communicator and cross-field collaborator (finance, legal, IT, CS, etc.). - Proficient with ambiguous tasks. - Autonomous and self-sufficient.

Overqualified But Welcomed Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a doctorate degree (PhD) in computer science or related field. - Considerable research experience related to computer science, through an assistantship, project based or thesis-based cursus and peer-reviewed publications. - Experience in teaching as an assistant (TA), instructor/lecturer or teaching professor (cégep or university level). - Won competitions in a fast-paced setting (Kaggle, Hackathon, etc.).

• CV and Portfolio needed to be considered. - Academic grades from Bachelor up to current degree.
