Job summary

Universite Grenoble Alpes in France invites applications for a 36-month, full-time PhD position under the COFUND Tec21 programme. You will work on materials engineering, X-ray imaging, and wood-based composites, supervised by Sabine Rolland du Roscoat and Julio Cesar da Silva.

The position offers a gross monthly salary of 2,650 EUR with net between 2,050 and 2,150 EUR, plus doctoral training and opportunities for secondments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field (materials science, engineering) with strong experimental background.
• Excellent written and spoken English (B2 level or higher) is required.
• Experience with imaging or image processing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the COFUND Tec21 PhD project on wood-based materials and imaging techniques.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team across universities and industry partners.
• Engage in doctoral training, secondments, and dissemination activities.
