Job summary

CNRS - National Center for Scientific Research invites applications for a First Stage Researcher (R1) PhD position at the Montpellier Cell Biology Research Center (CRBM). The PhD student will join Alenka Copic's team in the project on Cell biology of lipid storage and transfer, using cellular and biochemical models to study protein–lipid interactions and lipid droplets.

The thesis will be co-directed by Luc Bousset and enrolled in CBS2 at Université de Montpellier, with starting date 1 December

Qualifications

• The PhD student will join Alenka Copic's team on cell biology of lipid storage and transfer.
• Work will employ cellular and biochemical models to study protein–lipid interactions and lipid droplets.

Responsibilities

• Study how proteins interact with lipid droplets and membranes.
• Engage in doctoral training at CBS2 and Université de Montpellier.
