The University of Copenhagen invites applications for a PhD fellowship in Plant Biochemistry within the Plant Biochemistry Laboratory of the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences. The project focuses on signalling processes controlling plant plasticity, supported by ARC funding, with an expected start date of 1 January 2027.

Eligible candidates should hold a Danish master’s degree or equivalent and have research experience in related fields.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in a related subject (e.g. plant biochemistry, molecular biology).
• Good language skills and ability to communicate research clearly.
• Experience with biosynthesis, metabolic regulation or functional analysis of plant specialized metabolites is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Carry through an independent research project under supervision.
• Complete PhD courses totaling ~30 ECTS / ½ FTE.
• Participate in international research environments and potential stays abroad.
• Engage in teaching and knowledge dissemination activities.
• Write scientific papers for high‑impact journals.
• Write and defend a PhD thesis based on the project.
