COFUND QuanG seeks a First Stage Researcher (PhD) to study trap-related noise in cryogenic CMOS devices, develop physics-based noise models, and contribute to quantum electronics research in Grenoble.

The PhD calls for a Master’s degree or equivalent, with strong electron device physics background and proficiency in Python/MATLAB. The programme is fully funded under the QuanG2 PhD Call and hosted by Université Grenoble Alpes.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent by deadline; must not hold a doctoral degree
  • MSCA mobility rule: must not have resided or carried out main activity in France in the last 12 months
  • Strong background in physics/electronics and ability to communicate effectively in English

Responsabilités

  • Conduct experimental studies on trap-related noise at cryogenic temperatures (down to 4 K) in CMOS devices
  • Develop physics-based compact noise models for cryo-circuit design
  • Disseminate results through reports, publications and presentations
