COFUND QuanG Research in France seeks a First Stage Researcher (R1) for a three-year PhD position funded under the QuanG2 Call. The project investigates magnon angular momentum, combining microwave techniques, magnetic resonance and finite element simulations using a home-built spectrometer on nanostructured magnetic disks.

The candidate must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent and comply with the MSCA mobility rule.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent by deadline.
  • MSCA mobility rule: must not have resided or carried out main activity in France for more than 12 months in the 36 months preceding the deadline.

Responsabilités

  • Carry out magnetic resonance experiments on nanolithographically prepared magnetic microdisks.
  • Perform finite element simulations and compare spectra.
  • Contribute to experimental and theoretical investigations of magnon angular momentum in wave systems.
