Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• State pharmacy technician registration or licensure as required by state law.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with patients.
• Basic computer skills; pharmacy software is a plus but not required.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in accurately filling and dispensing prescription medications.
• Receive and process prescription orders from patients, physicians, and healthcare providers.
• Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, including deliveries, stocking, and flagging low-supply items.
• Handle point-of-sale transactions, process insurance claims, and assist patients with billing questions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment per state and federal regulations.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and direct complex questions to the pharmacist.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements at all times.
