Baptist Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare and distribute medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The job includes labeling, refilling Pyxis, and delivering meds to patient care areas.

Responsibilities include maintaining stock, proper storage, and assisting with IV admixture. Hospital experience and PTCB/ICPT certification preferred. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description

The pharmacy technician prepares and distributes medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. These duties include but are not limited to: filling and labeling medications, refilling Pyxis, delivering medications to patient care areas, preparing IV admixture solutions, answering the telephone and directing the call to the appropriate staff. Maintaining medication stock levels and maintaining proper storage of medications to ensure safe and cost effective pharmaceutical services. Proficient in basic computer skills and appropriately uses information systems, technology and automation to complete assigned task. Estimated pay range for this position is $18.15 - $23.60 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

Degrees:

• High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Registered Pharmacy Technician.

Additional Qualifications

• Hospital experience preferred, PTCB or ICPT Certification preferred.
