Envision Imaging in Plano is seeking a Full Time Patient Care Technician III to join our team. This role supports technologists, prepares patients for exams, and may initiate IVs under radiologist guidance.

Work hours are Monday–Friday 2:30 PM–11:00 PM with rotating Saturdays, and the pay range is $21.17–$25.50 per hour. The PCT III will handle pre-screening, priors management, sending images via PACS, coordinating with scheduling, and maintaining a safe, efficient patient flow in a

Qualifications

• One plus year of administrative experience in a healthcare environment – radiology preferred.
• Experience placing IVs is highly preferred, and able to provide medical attention for contrast reactions under the guidance of the radiologist.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation

Responsabilités

• Performs detailed clinical screening of patients for technologist review.
• Informs technologist of any contraindicated responses that could interfere with patient safety.
• Assists patients with securing valuables and changing into proper attire for the examination.
• If qualified, initiates IV for contrast studies and provide medical attention for contrast reactions under the guidance of the radiologist, monitors completion and retrieves lab values.
• Has working knowledge of normal ranges to facilitate efficient notification to technologist/radiologist aiding in proper patient flow.
• Prepares room and non-sterile trays as needed to assist technologists/radiologist.
• Ensures safety procedures are followed at all times in all security zones of the Center.
• Supports the technologists in preparing patients for the exam, helping patients on and off the imaging table, and escorting them back to the lobby or suitable waiting area.
• Assists with the Priors Management Grid (receiving and validating priors). Obtains, imports, and validates prior outside studies.
• Prepares images and paperwork to be sent for interpretation. Sends images through the PACS system to the appropriate location as needed.
• Contacts referring provider office to obtain updated order and to clarify orders when needed.
• Collaborates with the Patient Scheduling Coordinator when there is a change in exam/prep for the scheduled patient.
• Other duties as assigned.
