Overview
Payroll Manager at Qonto to ensure flawless payroll processing per month in France while building a sustainable payroll operation that reduces key-person risk and strengthens compliance controls.
Responsibilities
- Run accurate payroll cycles: ensure timely and error-free payroll processing for France, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and all variable elements (bonuses, benefits, deductions).
- Standardize and improve processes: refine all procedures impacting payroll matters—time management, wage garnishments, taxes, benefits—to raise the bar on quality and controls.
- Own compliance: monitor regulatory changes and ensure Qonto stays ahead of current and future French payroll regulations in a fast-paced fintech environment.
- Train and enable the People Ops team: build payroll knowledge across the organization through structured training sessions and clear documentation, helping the team catch errors early and improve data quality.
What you can expect
- You will be the payroll expert: take ownership of French payroll at scale and become a key point of reference within Qonto.
- Build a sustainable payroll operation: help reduce dependency on a single key person by sharing the workload and creating robust processes and controls.
- Work in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment: precision, compliance, and continuous improvement are part of our DNA.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: partner with People Ops Managers, Finance, and our external payroll provider to prevent issues and resolve blockers quickly.
- Use professional tools: master ADP for payroll processing, Excel for analysis and controls, and Workday for HR data management; contribute to improving these systems.
