Job summary

ESRF - The European Synchrotron Radiation Facility in Grenoble seeks a Full Time Particle Accelerator Operator to run the EBS accelerator complex. You will work on shifts in the Control Room, monitor parameters, diagnose issues, and participate in equipment test and commissioning.

Requirements include a technician degree in a technical field, 5+ years of relevant experience, proficiency in at least one programming language, and English and/or French. Relocation support is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in physics measurement, computing, electro-mechanics, electronics or vacuum.
• Proficiency in at least one computing language.
• Notions of radiation protection and shift operation experience are assets.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, record, analyze and act on accelerator parameters to maintain machine performance.
• Diagnostics and repairs to accelerator hardware with qualified staff on standby.
• Coordinate actions in emergency situations for safety of people and equipment.
• Participate in storage ring equipment test and commissioning.
