Job summary

Cardinal Creek Residence in Orléans, ON, invites applications for an Assistant Director of Care - Part-Time Nights. The role leads nursing teams, coordinates clinical programs, and acts as Director of Care when needed, ensuring compassionate, person-centered care within a compliant, high-performing environment.

The ideal candidate will hold an Ontario nursing license, have at least one year of management in long-term care, and be proficient with electronic health records.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Minimum of one year of managerial experience in a long-term care setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of evidence-based clinical practices.
• Proficiency in electronic health records.
• Gerontology certificate program or equivalent is an asset.
• Knowledge of RAI-MDS – AIS certification or plan to complete within 1 year.
• Being bilingual in French and English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Promote and support the organization’s MVV.
• Coordinate clinical programs as directed by the Director of Care.
• Provide direction to the nursing team and act as DOC in absence.
• Implement and evaluate new care programs based on best practices.
• Ensure residents' rights are respected and practice person-centered care.
• Maintain legislative compliance with applicable acts and regulations.
• Mentor Clinical Leads and support conflict resolution.
• Conduct regular chart audits and ensure documentation standards.
• Assist with policy development aligned with standards and laws.
• Collaborate on QIP development and quality/risk indicators.
