Job summary

Pemberton Partners is seeking a Client Services Officer to join the Private Banking team at a Paris-headquartered European bank. The role is a 12-18 month fixed-term contract.

The successful candidate will support high net worth clients and relationship managers in a fast-paced environment. Requirements include 6–10 years in Private Banking or related fields, with fluency in French and English; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in Private Banking, Client Services, Banking Operations or related field.
• Fluency in French and English required; Arabic would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Team leadership: oversee the Client Services team and allocate work.
• Client servicing: handle client inquiries via phone, in person, post or email.
• Transfers & payments: validate and authorize transfers (SEPA, TARGET, SIT, FX, cheques).
• Internal entries & SWIFT: pass entries for fund transfers and send SWIFT messages.
• Accounting & reconciliation: input and reconcile balances in core systems; resolve discrepancies.
• Reporting & controls: perform routine controls and complete regulatory reporting.
• Projects & process improvement: contribute to improvements and keep procedures updated.
• Risk & compliance: ensure AML/CFT, KYC and complaints handling compliance.
• Financial crime: perform LCB-FT checks and escalate suspicious activity.
• Training & business continuity: complete regulatory training and cover mid-office tasks.
