Job summary

Cailabs, headquartered in Rennes with offices in Paris and Washington, designs photonic solutions and laser shaping for space, telecoms and defense. You will join a dynamic team of engineers and PhDs tackling exciting technical challenges across the full product development cycle.

In this role you will contribute to technical definitions, upstream R&D, prototype testing, and the integration of optical subsystems.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Optics, Photonics, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of optical theory and experiments.
• Hands-on lab experience with experimental setups.
• Ability to process data and interface instruments via programming.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the technical definition of product developments and evolutions in response to customer needs.
• Contribute to upstream R&D projects to prepare future product developments.
• Improve product performance by investigating and evaluating alternative technologies.
• Prototype, test, integrate and interface various optical subsystems.
• Experimentally validate new optical architectures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (optics, electronics, mechanics, software).
• Support the different stages of product development through to production.
