STMicroelectronics France is offering an apprenticeship focused on optical simulation of pixel structures and evaluation of AI tools for modeling, design, and data analysis. The role emphasizes benchmarking, selection, and integration of AI solutions into R&D workflows within an international team.

The apprentice will build a structured understanding of pixel optical behavior and contribute to preparing technical syntheses and recommendations for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must be a student enrolled in an engineering school or in a work‑study program.
• Strong interest in optical pixel simulation and AI tools.
• Good command of Python and/or Matlab; fluent in English.
• Curious, autonomous, rigorous and capable of working in an international team.

Responsabilités

• Perform optical simulations of pixel structures using numerical tools.
• Analyze optical behavior of pixels under varying parameters.
• Define performance indicators to compare simulation results.
• Identify, test and compare AI tools for modeling, design and optimization.
• Assess capabilities and maturity of AI tools and report findings.
• Contribute to selecting tools best suited for project needs.
• Prepare technical syntheses, comparative reports and recommendations.
