Optinvent is seeking an Optical Engineer to strengthen its current product development team in Rennes, France. The role involves designing imagery-system optics, performing ray tracing analyses and integrating into a dynamic engineering group.

You will report to the Technical Manager and collaborate with R&D specialists on moldable plastic optics and microdisplay-related projects. The contract can be CDD or CDI with a trial period, reflecting a flexible arrangement for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years experience in R&D & successful industrial product development.
• Strong experience in optical simulation software (Code V, Zemax, etc.) for design, tolerancing and Merit function optimization.
• Experience with Microdisplays is appreciated.
• Experience in molded optical plastic components is a plus.
