Vestas in France is seeking an Operator or Service Technician to join their Service Department. This role will focus on optimizing client wind farms to ensure maximum turbine capacity and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• High-school degree with experience in technical fields; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or electricity.

Operator or Service Technician – Sales/SBU MED /Service

Integrating the Service Department of Vestas France, as an Operator or a Service Technician you will be at the forefront of wind energy innovation, playing a key role with our customers: Your mission is to optimise client wind farms throughout their life cycle, ensuring maximum turbine capacity and optimal energy efficiency.

Condition: Full‑time, France nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Carry out periodic service inspections in accordance with Vestas' specifications, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic component replacements and troubleshooting.
• Ensure smooth operation of turbines and usage of systems within condition monitoring and remote control.
• Maintain an efficient service vehicle and a well‑stocked warehouse by ordering materials, tools, and spare parts when needed.
• Assemble components and main components according to current rules or work instructions, using internal or external cranes if necessary.
• Work to the highest safety and environmental standards while ensuring service targets are met.

Qualifications

• High‑school degree with experience in technical fields (maintenance, electrical engineering, mechanics, etc.) desired. A bachelor's degree, BTS/DUT industrial or electrical/mechanical engineering certified by the BZEE certification is required for a technician level.
• Ideally 2 to 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or electricity, with knowledge of high voltage.

Competencies

• Proactive contact with customers regarding completed and upcoming service and repairs. Flexible, autonomous, results‑oriented, innovative, mobility required due to planned trips.
• Knowledge of technical English (written/speaking) and familiarity with Office Pack.
• Good communication skills and teamwork.
• Solid commitment to safety and ability to work at height.
