Job summary

roadsurfer is seeking a Station Manager to lead and establish a new location in France. You will oversee day-to-day operations on-site, collaborate with central departments, and ensure high service standards while coordinating vehicle returns, handovers, and preparation.

You will drive process improvements, communicate with international teams, manage the on-site staff, recruit talent, and oversee fleet documentation, upkeep, and partner coordination.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed training or studies in a relevant subject area or comparable qualification.
• At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in car rental, tourism, or similar — career changers welcome.
• Experience in leading employees or teams is advantageous.
• High service and customer orientation with a friendly and open demeanor.
• You are a hands-on and effective communicator.
• You are a resilient problem solver and highly organized.
• You speak excellent English, on top you also speak the language for the country you applied for fluently.

Responsibilities

• Your roadsurfer Station - Location Management: you take on independent leadership and establishment of the location, closely collaborating with central departments to oversee day-to-day operations on-site.
• Process Optimization: you successfully implement existing standards and processes while contributing your own ideas (coordinating vehicle returns, handovers, and vehicle preparation).
• Collaboration with roadsurfer Stations: you maintain constant communication with all international teams to ensure ongoing improvements.
• Team Leadership: as a Team Leader, you motivate and lead your on-site team. This includes onboarding, effective task planning, and quality control.
• Recruitment: you have control over building your team and seek the right talent for your location.
• Fleet Management: you always have an overview of the local vehicle fleet for rental and sales: documentation, maintenance, cleanliness, and coordination with local service partners.
• Customer Consultation: you advise customers on our products, myroadsurfer, abo, spots, and rent, and send them out as happy roadsurfers on the roads of Europe.

What you need to surf the wave with us

Your Salary
We transparency. The salary range for this position is between 36,000 EUR and 38,000 EUR gross per year. We are currently introducing salary bands in our job descriptions to ensure that all employees are treated fairly. Once we get to know each other better during the application process and can assess your skills and experience more precisely, we will work together to determine which level within the salary band is the best fit for you. In an annual feedback meeting, your salary will be reviewed at least once a year.
