SGS & Co is seeking a Packaging Project Manager to coordinate packaging development projects for a dairy sector client. You will be the first point of contact for the client's marketing teams, ensuring on-time and on-quality delivery on-site at the Boulogne-Billancourt client premises.

The role requires strong knowledge of the graphic chain, packaging production processes, and color management, with fluency in French and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Packaging, Graphic Arts, Marketing or related field.
• Equivalent of 2+ years in packaging or artwork management, client-facing in FMCG/beverage regulated industries.
• Proficiency with Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Fluent in French and English.

Responsabilités

• Assist client marketing teams on packaging projects, developing and executing packaging ranges and color retouching.
• Expertise in the graphic chain, ensure packaging aligns with standards, guidelines and printers' specs; detect and address file anomalies.
• Participate in technical meetings, proofs management, and coordination with printers.
• Set priorities based on timelines; provide visibility on timing; ensure on-time and on-quality delivery.
• Coordinate color retouching and artwork production between SGS&Co and client; manage packaging production via job instructions and schedules.
• Drive continuous improvement in color processes consistent with global artwork guidelines.
• Review proofs and coordinate revisions; ensure compliance with internal processes.
• Build strong client relationships to retain and grow accounts.

Position Summary

The Packaging Project Manager provides project management for the client (dairy sector), coordinating efforts between the client and SGX Teams.

First point of contact for the client's marketing teams in the coordination of packaging development projects.

Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & results:

• Assist the client marketing team on packaging projects. Responsible for the development and execution of packaging ranges and color retouching.
• Be an expert of the graphic chain, execution of packaging in compliance with the applicable standards, guidelines, and printers' specifications. Be in charge of detecting and addressing anomalies within the files.
• Participate actively in technical meetings (launch of the range, contact with the printers, etc.), press passing, technical point of contact for proof management.
• Establish priorities based on project timelines. Provide the client and production team with clear visibility on the timing. Responsible for the On-time & On-quality delivery.
• Coordinate the color retouching and artwork production between SGS&Co team and client.
• Coordinate packaging production via job instructions and schedules to complete jobs.
• Drive continuous improvement pipeline for color process and ensure alignment with the global artwork process.
• Review proofs to ensure instructions were followed. Coordinate revisions if required.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s internal processes.
• Build and foster an excellent relationship with the client to ensure account retention and growth.

Skills & Experience

• Solid technical skills and knowledge of the graphic chain and packaging (artwork and reprography), printing processes (offset, flexo, rotogravure), proofing, and color management.

Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Graphic Arts, Design, Marketing, Project Management or a related field is preferred.
• Equivalent of 2+ years of experience in the packaging industry. In artwork management, packaging production client facing roles, ideally within FMCG, beverage, or regulated industries.
• Operating knowledge of graphics software applications (i.e. Illustrator & Photoshop)
• French and English Proficient
