Assistant Shop Manager (Paid Training Available)

Take 5 Oil Change is a well‑established, neighborhood oil‑change spot with over 35 years of service. We pride ourselves on friendly technicians, expert oil‑change services, and an efficient process that lets you stay in the comfort of your car or truck while we work. We are looking for energetic, customer‑focused team members to join our family and move up the growth path from crew member to shop manager.

What you’ll do (Responsibilities)

• Provide excellent customer service and process payments for services performed.
• Assume shop‑manager responsibilities in the manager’s absence.
• Run daily floor operations, ensuring every vehicle is checked and every customer leaves satisfied.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with counting and adjusting inventory.
• Train new employees in Take 5 procedures.
• Carry out mechanical services such as draining motor oil, changing filters, and performing other light maintenance services.
• Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor.
• Maintain cleanliness of shop, office, and bathroom areas.

Qualifications (Requirements)

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3‑foot deep pit to position under cars.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
• Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop.
• Experience valued but not required; experience can be gained through our paid training program.
