Apple is looking for a security manager to lead a team focused on securing devices and platforms. You will be involved in vulnerability assessments, developing innovative tools and conducting research across technologies.
This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational skills, and knowledge of embedded security, particularly in iOS and macOS. Join us in creating secure and impactful products that help protect millions worldwide.
Apple's Security Engineering & Architecture team (SEAR) focuses on security needs. Passionate about safeguarding, we believe the best defense is a good offense. When it comes to securing more than a billion devices running the world's most sophisticated operating systems, that means finding vulnerabilities first. Can you make a difference on this scale? Join our extraordinary team of security researchers and discover Apple products' vulnerabilities before they ship.
We are looking for a manager with experience in dealing with complex systems and bringing ideas to the level of products. Our organization focuses on securing low‑level technologies such as the iOS and macOS kernel, boot ROMs, firmware, and hardware. Working alongside a wide variety of teams and vendors, your influence will be felt throughout Apple’s extraordinary products, such as the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. Your team will be responsible for conducting security assessments in the areas of platform security, hardware/software boundary, wireless technologies, and more. Typical activities include conducting vulnerability research, developing proof‑of‑concepts, reviewing designs and specifications of security features, creating innovative tools, and consulting with other teams on both hardware and software. This position requires someone with strong technical strengths and a passionate desire to secure systems by showing how they can be broken. If this is you, we’d love to hear from you.

Therefore, we are committed to treating all applicants fairly and equally and will work with applicants to make any reasonable accommodations. At Apple, we believe accessibility is a fundamental human right. You’ll find that idea reflected in everything here — in our culture, our benefits, and our digital tools. By welcoming as many perspectives as possible, we help you build a career where you feel like you belong.
