Vistra Nuclear Operations Company is seeking an Instrument And Control Technician Apprentice to perform skilled routine maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and testing of instrumentation and control systems across laboratory, shop and field settings. The role includes radiological area work and completion of the Academy for Nuclear Training–accredited Shift Training Program.

The candidate will support reactor protection systems, process instrumentation, and calibration tasks, while

Qualifications

Two year Post-High School relevant education or equivalent experience.
Must pass Instrument and Control Technician Apprentice qualification test and EEI Standardize test.
Completes training in I&C Technician Apprentice-Shift Training Program as accredited by the Academy for Nuclear Training.

Responsabilités

Perform scheduled maintenance, calibrations, troubleshooting and repair of instrumentation and controls.
Maintain calibration and testing of radiation monitoring equipment and related systems.
Diagnose and correct operating perturbations to keep control systems operating properly.
Assist in maintenance of reactor controls, safety-related equipment and related instrumentation.
Complete documentation required by assigned tasks and comply with site procedures and policies.
Assist in modifying control panels electrically and mechanically for new installations.
