Mercor is assembling a panel of nuclear materials and safeguards experts to red-team frontier AI models. The role involves writing prompts across benign, dual-use, and adversarial categories, evaluating model responses against policy standards, and drafting a reference answer with the technical reasoning.

This is writing-intensive work; candidates should have strong technical writing experience and be prepared to work with misuse scenarios in this specialized domain for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Experience with fuel cycle topics and red-teaming is required.
• Strong ability to write clear rationale for non-specialists.
• Familiarity with misuse scenario analysis in the nuclear domain is preferred.
• Sample or link of previous technical writing is required.

Responsabilités

• Write challenging single-turn prompts labeled benign, dual-use, and adversarial.
• Evaluate responses against a defined policy standard.
• Write the reference answer with technical reasoning for why a response is correct or incorrect.
• Read and write about misuse scenarios in the field for sustained periods.
• Brief experts on the approach in advance and allow pauses or deviations without penalty.
